Our Objectives

The Thames Vintage Boat Club has, over the years, built up a reasonable collection of Workshop Manuals and Parts Lists for various marine engines comonly in use by our boat owners and restorers. If members  need any information of that sort we can usualy help with a working copy. In keeping with the aims of the club we are also happy to help the wider world with information if we can, working within the limitations of copyright. A list of what we have can be found overleaf.

Our Engines to Go page is a list of marine engines, gearboxes and the like. These are available to get them back into boats where they belong rather than have them gathering dust under work benches. The list includes a number of items known to need a good home, some owned by the Club and others by individuals. Please feel free to enquire about anything here, as we are very sympathetic to the idea of helping the restoration of older boats, and if we can put you in touch with what you are looking for, we will be delighted to do so.

Charges will only be levied in as far as required to cover costs, and perhaps to solicit a small donation to the Thames Vintage Boat Club. We are happy to do swaps as well if that helps. Have you any old manuals you no longer want, or would be prepared to let us purchase from you, or borrow?

If you want to find a home for an old engine you no longer need we will be pleased to try and find a new owner for it.
